A colorful new mural will catch your attention at the Gardens on El Paseo near Anthropology at the steps up to Tommy Bahama Restaurant. Created by nationally known artist, Lindsey Made This, an illustrator from Minnesota from March 19-21, 2021.
The We Hope in Color mural will feature Lindsey’s artwork she has created for local non-profit Shay’s Warriors Life after Cancer. Inspired by bold colors with a message of hope and tribute to all who have suffered through cancer.

Lindsey Wright and local resident Shay Moraga met many years ago and have a mutual affinity for one another. Lindsey helped bring Shay’s vision for her Shay’s Warriors brand to life and serves as creative director on its board of directors.
Shay’s Warriors Life after Cancer was formed in the Coachella Valley to help women who have gone through breast and other reproductive cancers. Their mission is to inspire, inform, empower and help heal women and their families through health, fitness and the mind-body connection.
Shay was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in 2016. She fought for her life until the day she was told that her cancer was gone. Shay’s Warriors was brought to life in hopes of providing a healthy, inspiring, and safe space for survivors to thrive.
“Shay’s Warriors – Life After Cancer is extremely honored to partner with the Gardens of El Paseo for our ‘We HOPE in Color’ mural.” Shay said. “It is my hope and Shay’s Warriors mission to inspire and empower not only our cancer community but anyone who has gone through adversity. This mural is a gift to our cancer community and their loved ones who each day hope for that cure. I hope that our community will take a selfie with this mural, tag us, allowing us to share their story of hope. So that others can hope, pray and support them in their journey. Community lifting up community, a ripple effect. Inspiring others that we all hope in color. Because after a storm we look up for the rainbow.”
