The Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors has selected Randy Florence as President/CEO, effective June 1.
“We are excited to welcome Randy to the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce,” said John Sloan, chairman of the board. “Randy’s education, and work and volunteer experience make him the ideal candidate. He is innovative, forward-thinking, and very member driven. We anticipate Randy will be an outstanding asset to the Chamber,”
Florence brings more than 37 years of business and leadership experience to the Palm Desert Area. He recently retired from US Bank where he was responsible for running their Builder division in the Western United States.
“I am thrilled to be selected to lead the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce,” said Florence.
Randy’s volunteer experience is extensive. He has been involved with the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership (CVEP) for more than five years, and currently serves as the chair of the board of directors. He also serves on the board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Coachella Valley, and the board of HomeAid America. Randy is a graduate of Leadership Coachella Valley (2014). He hosts the radio podcast “Coachella Valley Chronicles” on iHubRadio.
