Wilson Meade Commercial Real Estate recently held its Annual Awards Luncheon honoring its team members. Senior Associate Matt Rifkin received the Broker of the Year award as well as the award for Most Transactions – and Investment Sales/Leasing Agent, Cameron Rawlings, took home the Rookie of the Year award.
Rifkin joined Wilson Meade in 2017, and quickly rose in the ranks as a top performer. He facilitated 31 commercial real estate transactions for the firm this past year, including the sale of a property from listing to closing in a record 11 days. The building was a second-time sale for Rifkin – the first being in 2020.
“I had no idea I was even in the running for Most Transactions and Broker of the Year so it was really exciting to receive both awards,” said Rifkin. “As we all know, 2020 was a year many slowed down and some even stopped working. I took it as an opportunity to put my head down and make the best of it.”
Co-founder Scott Wilson admires Rifkin for the many positive characteristics he brings to the team. “Matt has a servant’s heart, and this carries over into his business and with his clients,” said Wilson. “He has great integrity and market knowledge, and goes beyond what others generally do when assisting those whom he is working with.”
Rawlings has worked under the tutelage of co-founder, Michael Meade, since joining the firm in 2019. Meade describes Rawlings as the first one in the office and the last to leave, investing a lot of time and effort into gaining a solid understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals in his first 12-months at the firm.
“Cameron was in running for Broker of the Year as well, losing by only a few thousand dollars,” said Meade. “He has demonstrated a great deal of dedication and determination in a short period of time, and we look forward to watching him continue to grow and succeed here at Wilson Meade.”
