PSP Adds Third Airline to New York Routes

By Bob Marra

United Airlines is bringing back nonstop service between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Palm Springs International Airport (PSP), starting December 18, 2025.

The route will operate five to seven times per week, depending on the month, using a Boeing 737-700 aircraft. This marks the first time in over five years that United will regularly fly the EWR-PSP route, reestablishing a key nonstop connection between Greater Palm Springs and the New York metropolitan area. The new route adds to existing nonstop PSP–New York options on Alaska and Delta.

“We’re delighted to see United continue growing at PSP, with Newark service returning this winter and LAX flights coming back earlier than last year,” said Harry Barrett, Jr., Executive Director of Aviation at Palm Springs International Airport. “These additions reflect our commitment to thoughtful, strategic growth—expanding access, supporting economic opportunity, and delivering the exceptional travel experience our community expects.”
