Storyliving by Disney’s Cotino master planned community announced the first slate of restaurants and retailers for Cotino’s waterfront town center, a milestone the company says will give residents and visitors new dining, shopping and recreation options as vertical construction advances. The initial lineup at Cotino Bay Beach, Dining and Shops features Elevare, Artigiano, On the Mark Fine Foods & Provisions and Khaga Yoga, with doors expected to open to the public in Fall 2026.

Claire Bilby, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Signature Experiences Emerging Businesses, said the tenant mix is intended to serve Cotino’s residents and the Greater Palm Springs region. “Our vision for Cotino Bay Beach, Dining and Shops goes beyond a new development, we’re creating a vibrant new destination the entire region can enjoy,” she said, adding that the curated shopping and dining “paired with the must-visit appeal of Cotino Bay Beach” will enhance community life.

The town center’s first phase will comprise about 45,000 square feet of shopping, dining and entertainment space. It will sit on the north end of Cotino Bay, the community’s 24-acre swimmable lagoon, and will include fee-based public access to the water, with pricing and operating details to be announced later. Future phases call for a hotel and additional retail.

Who is coming to Cotino Bay Beach, Dining and Shops

Elevare, a new 8,000-square-foot waterfront restaurant concept created by Oak View Group and designed by Ignisio Studios, will serve refined American cuisine with local, seasonal ingredients. Plans call for lunch and dinner service daily, a weekend brunch and an expansive terrace with views of Cotino Bay and the San Jacinto Mountains.

New restaurant Elevare will be among the first tenants at Cotino Bay Beach, Dining and Shops when it opens in fall 2026.

Artigiano, a Canadian coffee brand with more than 26 years in specialty coffee, will debut its first U.S. location in a 3,000-square-foot café. On the Mark Fine Foods & Provisions, the Palm Springs market known for artisan goods and sandwiches, will add a 3,700-square-foot second location. Khaga Yoga will open a 2,000-square-foot studio with two practice rooms, retail and classes for adults and families.

Development progress and where Cotino fits

Cotino is the first Storyliving by Disney community, a brand of master-planned developments envisioned by Disney Imagineers. Residents may opt into the Artisan Club, a voluntary membership that offers access to Disney-curated programs, wellness and entertainment. Shea Homes, Woodbridge Pacific Group, and Davidson Communities are building the various sections of homes. The sales studio is open daily for appointments, and model home tours are available.

City approvals envision nearly 2,000 homes and condos at full buildout. More than 300 homes are included in the first phase, including a 55-plus neighborhood on Cotino’s north and west edges. Preliminary sales began in 2024, with many designs starting above $1 million and top-tier offerings reaching the upper $4 million range.

Some amenities, including portions of the lake and the Artisan Club, are expected to open on a rolling basis, with club access limited to paying residents. Within the town center, Cotino also holds approvals for an “artisan village” of nine small structures for food and retail along a pedestrian plaza.

The site is located between Bob Hope Drive and Monterey Avenue, just south of Gerald Ford Drive, with the town center positioned off Monterey between Gerald Ford and Frank Sinatra Drives. As part of long-range plans, project leaders also point to a hotel and additional retail that will follow the first phase.

Public access

Retail and dining will be open to the general public. Access to Cotino Bay will require a separate fee, with more information to be released as the opening date approaches.

What Disney says the lineup delivers

Disney officials describe the tenant roster as the start of a broader destination that complements residential life while drawing regional visitors. “This curated mix of shopping and dining, paired with the must-visit appeal of Cotino Bay Beach, really enhances the community lifestyle here,” Bilby said. Additional tenants are expected to be announced in the months ahead.
