Jeff L. Grubbe was elected Tribal Council Chairman of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians.

 

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians has announced Tribal Council election results for the March 17, 2026, annual election.

  • Tribal Council Chairman Jeff L. Grubbe was elected to a full two-year term in office.
  • Tribal Council Vice Chairman Anthony W. Purnel continues in his two-year term.
  • Tribal Council Secretary-Treasurer Savana R. Saubel continues in her two-year term.
  • Tribal Council Member Moraino J. Patencio was elected to a full one-year term in office.
  • And, Tribal Council Member Vincent Gonzales III was elected to a full one-year term in office.

The Tribal Council elections are a matter of tribal law and are managed privately by the Election Board. The results of the March 17, 2026, election were certified and became final on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is a federally recognized Indian Tribe located in Palm Springs, with more than 34,032 acres of reservation lands that span Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage and extend into the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains.
