Palm Springs Mayor Naomi Soto, Mayor Pro Tem David Ready, PSP Executive Director Harry Barrett Jr., City Manager Scott Stiles and other local officials joined SIXT for the ribbon cutting to mark the opening of its new Palm Springs International Airport branch.

SIXT USA, a subsidiary of Sixt SE has opened a new rental car branch at Palm Springs International Airport (PSP).

The new SIXT branch provides convenient access to premium vehicles for travelers throughout this vibrant and fast-growing region.

“Palm Springs International Airport is a key addition to our travel network that allows us to meet the growing demand for premium car rental in this popular destination,” said Tom Kennedy, President, SIXT North America. “Our high-end fleet and exceptional service ensure travelers in Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley enjoy a smooth, first-class rental experience.”

The new location offers a premium fleet of coupes, sedans, and SUVs to diverse needs and preferences, backed by a seamless digital booking experience via SIXT.com and the SIXT app.

“Welcoming SIXT to Palm Springs International Airport reflects the continued momentum we’re seeing at PSP,” said PSP Executive Director Harry Barrett, Jr. “As passenger traffic grows and our network expands, strong rental options are essential, and SIXT’s premium approach complements PSP’s commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience.”

The Palm Springs opening follows recent expansions at Tulsa International Airport (TUL) and Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), highlighting SIXT’s accelerating growth across key U.S. travel corridors, including strategic expansion throughout California.

SIXT now operates at six major California airports – Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), San Jose International Airport (SJC), San Diego International Airport (SAN), John Wayne Airport, Orange County (SNA), and Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) – complemented by 18 off-airport locations across the state, including the recently opened Cross Border Xpress branch serving travelers through Tijuana International Airport.

In just over a decade, the United States has become SIXT’s most important growth market. Today, the company operates more than 120 rental branches in 27 states and serves 56 of the most important airports nationwide. With the launch of operations in Canada in 2022, SIXT is also entering another billion-dollar market, creating opportunities for synergies with its U.S. network.
