Veteran commercial banker Eileen Eske has joined HCN Bank as Senior Vice President, bringing more than four decades of banking experience and an extensive network of business and community relationships developed during 24 years in the Coachella Valley.
Eske joins HCN Bank after 14 years with Pacific Premier Bank in Palm Desert, where she served as first vice president and senior relationship manager. Her responsibilities included commercial lending, business development and deposit relationships, with a portfolio exceeding $73 million in deposits and $78 million in loans.
Her hiring adds another experienced local banker to HCN’s growing Coachella Valley operation. The privately owned bank, founded in 1974, opened its Palm Springs financial center in late 2025 at 500 S. Palm Canyon Drive, emphasizing personalized service to small and medium-sized businesses.
Eske began her banking career in 1979 and has worked in the Coachella Valley since 2003. Before joining Pacific Premier, she spent nine years at Palm Desert National Bank as senior vice president, senior commercial loan officer and branch manager. During that tenure, she developed a commercial loan portfolio of approximately $120 million.
Her earlier career included more than 20 years with EvergreenBank in Seattle, where she held positions in commercial lending, relationship management and business development.
Eske said HCN Bank’s community banking philosophy, particularly its commitment to personal relationships and responsiveness, influenced her decision to join the institution.
“One of the reasons I joined HCN Bank is because of the vision of our CEO, Kevin Farrenkopf,” Eske said. “Kevin believes that every customer deserves exceptional service and genuine attention, regardless of the size of their relationship.”
At HCN Bank, Eske will focus on serving business clients with commercial lending, deposit services, treasury management and other financial solutions. Her experience includes commercial real estate, commercial and industrial, Small Business Administration and construction lending.
Beyond her banking career, Eske has been active in numerous Coachella Valley nonprofit and professional organizations. Her community involvement includes leadership roles with the Eisenhower Auxiliary, First Tee of the Coachella Valley, Desert Best Friend’s Closet and the Desert Valleys Builders Association.
She has also participated in the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce, the Building Industry Association’s Desert Chapter and the American Heart Association’s Desert HeartWalk.
Eske said her relationships with local businesses have been among the most rewarding aspects of her career.
“For the past 24 years, I’ve been proud to live and work in the Coachella Valley, serving a wide variety of local businesses and developing relationships that have lasted for decades,” she said.
