indiGO Auto Group Doubles Down on Greater Palm Springs Market with Three-Store Acquisition

indiGO Auto Group is expanding again in Greater Palm Springs, acquiring Mercedes-Benz of Palm Springs, Genesis of Palm Springs, and Hyundai of Palm Springs – a move that both enlarges its local footprint and adds the group’s first Mercedes-Benz franchise.

Why these stores for indiGO Auto Group, and why now

For CEO Kelly Wolf, the reasoning starts with place. “Like many of our clients, the Coachella Valley is home away from home for indiGO Auto Group,” he said, adding that the three Palm Springs rooftops “offer unique ownership opportunities that complement our existing brands” and will benefit from the company’s decade-plus of desert experience.

Wolf points to a convergence of local fundamentals that gave him confidence to make a multi-store commitment: sustained population growth, wealth migration, and a tourism engine that keeps the market humming year-round. “All the above,” he said. “The desert is a special place to shop for cars, giving customers an open, relaxed place to test drive and buy, versus the major metro dealerships in SoCal.” He noted indiGO has been in the Valley since 2013 and has “invested significantly in people, facilities, and inventory” to support growth.

What will change and what won’t

Customers will see the company’s customer-first playbook applied from day one, Wolf said, with a focus on hospitality, transparency, and execution that “goes beyond traditional dealerships.” At the same time, indiGO plans to keep the local DNA intact. “One of the most important assets is the tenure of the existing workforce,” Wolf said. “Customers should expect to see familiar faces with renewed energy and resources as we integrate the team into indiGO.”

Leadership continuity is core to the transition. Wolf will serve as dealer principal; Mark Campagnano will become General Manager of Mercedes-Benz of Palm Springs; Trey Wiley will remain GM at Hyundai; and Jeffery Snyder will continue as GM at Genesis. Together with senior leader and VP of Operations, Mike Weibel, that team will “bring our indiGO culture to these stores.”

Capital plans: a Mercedes makeover first

Facility investment is already on the docket. “Mercedes-Benz of Palm Springs will go under a major renovation as soon as we can get plans drawn,” Wolf said, signaling an immediate upgrade cycle for the flagship luxury store.

Growth mindset, not maintenance mode

The company’s stance on headcount and capability is clear: “Our plan is to grow by offering the best car buying and service experience in each class. We never try to stay flat.” That growth will ride on indiGO’s established operating model, “seamless operation, enhanced customer service, and exceptional ownership experiences,” now being integrated into the newly acquired Palm Springs locations.

Why the deal matters to indiGO’s national portfolio

The acquisition deepens the group’s luxury mix and marks its entry into Mercedes-Benz – a milestone for a retailer that now counts 27 franchised dealerships and service centers in 10 U.S. markets. Wolf called Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage “a significant amount of our total U.S. operation,” describing the Valley stores as “very important to us” and “a major investment.” The company sees “tremendous upside” opportunity in the desert market and plans to “continue to invest here well into the future.”

IndiGO Auto Group’s Bentley Rancho Mirage has been extremely successful since its inception.

That national scale already has a strong local anchor. indiGO operates BMW and Porsche Palm Springs, plus Bentley, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Aston Martin, McLaren, Lamborghini, Jaguar, Land Rover, Audi and Rimac in Rancho Mirage, alongside the indiGO Performance & Experience Center in Thermal for track-based ownership experiences. The addition of Mercedes-Benz, Genesis and Hyundai broadens the group’s range from ultra-luxury to premium and performance, all within a tight geographic footprint that simplifies service and deepens community ties.

The local promise: high touch, high standards

Wolf’s message to current and future customers is consistent: expect more. “Our goal is to deliver a level of service and hospitality that goes beyond traditional dealerships and that exceeds our clients’ expectations,” he said, pointing to indiGO’s nearly two decades of attention to detail as the template.

On the ground, that promise translates into refreshed facilities, seasoned teams, and the brand breadth to match different lifestyles, from a weekend escape car to a daily driver, all supported by an operating philosophy built specifically for the rhythms of the desert. As Wolf put it, Greater Palm Springs is “a special place to shop for cars,” and indiGO plans to keep building in the place it already calls a second home.
